[my night with holly becker of decor8...]

on wednesday i returned home from new york after revealing a BRAND NEW budget makeover on the nate berkus show. the client loves it and so did the audience and nate himself (so relieved...lol) just keep following the blog as you normally do and you will be one of the first to know the air date.
while in new york i squeezed in a few hours to be with author holly becker of the blog decor8, while she was on the last leg of her 6 city US tour of new best selling book, decorate.
holly opened up with a very insightful and inspirational mooboard presentation. she gave tips to the audience on how to implement an effective moodboard as a great jumping off point to create a great room.
there was some sparkling water and wine along with
soft cookies being handed out the the attendees.
holly took the time to sign numerous copies of her book and spoke with each person who came to support. she has such an amazing sweet and calm spirit. i am so glad i had an opportunity to meet her.
white pants (express), light grey wingtips (u-roads), thrifted windowpane powder blue shirt, sweater (old navy)

as you can clearly see, i wore one of my chiang mai bowties to the event. the little guy made quite an impression. when i asked  brownbelle to make them, i knew they would be the pop of color need for a fit. as a matter of fact, dont forget to visit her etsy shop and get 20% off any bowtie by using promo code RASHON.

i took a few pictures with some other great people while in new york, so head over to my facebook page to see who they are. also make sure you come back on monday to see how i styled the other one.
